
Hope Hollinsworth-Coaxum Director, Office of Constituent Services and Minority Affairs City of Yonkers
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today announced the appointment of Hope Hollinsworth-Coaxum as the City’s new Director of the Office of Constituent Services and Minority Affairs. A seasoned leader in community engagement and public service, Hollinsworth-Coaxum will begin her new role immediately. Hollinsworth-Coaxum will replace Michael Sabatino as Director, who served is retiring.
“Hope brings a wealth of experience in public service and community leadership to this important position,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “Her dedication to fostering positive relationships and ensuring that all Yonkers residents’ voices are heard will be invaluable as we continue to build a more inclusive and connected community. I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to Michael Sabatino for his years of dedicated service to the City of Yonkers. His commitment to our residents has made a lasting impact, and we wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”
Hollinsworth-Coaxum previously served as Special Assistant to the Mayor in the Office of Constituent Services and Minority Affairs, where she spearheaded key community initiatives, including the Mayor’s Thanksgiving Care Drive, Mayor’s Toy & Coat Drive, Women of Distinction Awards, and the City’s Black History Celebration.

In addition to her work with the City, Hollinsworth-Coaxum serves on the Yonkers Community Action Program Board, Yonkers Parking Authority Board, and Westchester County Veterans Services Board. She also serves as a liaison to the Mayor at the Yonkers Police Department’s 2nd Precinct Community Council meetings, and a liaison to Yonkers My Brother’s Keeper strengthening relationships between the City and its residents. A dedicated leader, Hollinsworth-Coaxum is also the President of the Gold Star Mother Yonkers Chapter, further showcasing her deep commitment to serving her community and veterans’ families. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Pace University.
