“Ruth has been a very effective county legislator for Yonkers because when it comes time to do the big things, like taking care of a park, building a park, taking care of the bus system and the things that the county does so well for us, we need to have strong effective leadership that go to the county legislature and push for these projects to get done and ruth has been that effective leader for Yonkers and that’s why I’m proud to endorse her,” said Mayor Spano, who has served 10 years as Mayor of the largest city in Westchester and the 3rd Largest City in New York State.
Spano remains the most popular elected official in Yonkers, and his endorsement will certainly give Walter a last minute push to victory.
