Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano has endorsed Frank Jereis for State Assembly in the 90th District. Spano said, “As someone who represented Yonkers in the State Assembly, I know what it takes to be an effective advocate for our city in Albany. Frank Jereis has the qualifications, the judgment, and the dedication to serve our community well.
“His experience in law and as a Chief of Staff in the Assembly gives him a strong command of the legislative process, which is critical in a job like this. Frank knows how to fight for what matters, how to navigate government, and how to stand up for the people of Yonkers. Above all, he knows this city, loves this city, and is committed to its future.
I am proud to support Frank Jereis for State Assembly, and I will be with him every step of the way in this campaign,” said Spano,
Jereis received the endorsement from the Yonkers Democratic Committee last month. Jereis will face Jeannette Garcia in a Democratic primary on June 23. The current Assemblyman, Nader Sayegh, is not seeking reelection.
