Yonkers Man Arrested by Hastings Police for Public Lewdness on Old Croton Aqueduct Trailway

Yonkers resident Manuel Debrito, 57, was charged with public lewdness following an investigation by Hastings-on-Hudson Police, the department announced on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department has arrested a 57-year-old Yonkers man following an investigation into a reported incident of public lewdness on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trailway.

On September 30, 2026, police received a report from a female who stated that a male had exposed himself to her while she was walking on the Aqueduct Trailway. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the individual at that time.

On October 2, 2026, officers conducted additional patrols following a report of a suspicious individual who potentially matched the description provided in the earlier incident. Officers located and interviewed a male matching the description. Following an investigation, the individual was identified as the suspect in the September 30 incident.

A Yonkers resident was charged with Public Lewdness, a Class B misdemeanor. During the subsequent investigation, he was also charged in connection with a separate incident reported in 2024.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident or similar incidents on the Aqueduct Trailway is encouraged to contact the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department.
