Yonkers Lohrfink Park Improvements Completed in Time for Summer Fun

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano joined the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation on May 20 at Lohrfink Park (Bolmer Avenue) to unveil the park’s new renovations.

Improvements to the park include new playground equipment and rubber matting, new benches and additional landscaping. Lohrfink Park is one of the dozens of neighborhood parks the city is transforming and renovating in the next five years.

“As we approach the summer season, we are ensuring our Parks will be ready in time for families to enjoy. Today we unveiled the improvements made to Lohfink Park (689 Valley Avenue), featuring new benches, a state-of-the-art playground with upgraded swings, slides, climbers, rubber matting, and an incredible green space for all to enjoy. It was an over $350,000 investment – it shows our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents,” said Mayor Spano.
