Yonkers Library Donates 3D Printers to Yonkers Hospitals

Dr. Stephen Erosa has made hundreds of PPE pieces from a 3D printer for St. John’s Riverside staff

The Yonkers Public Library, YPL, has donated all three of its 3D printers to Yonkers two hospitals, St. John’s Riverside Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. The 3D printers were donated to be used to make personal protective equipment, (PPE).
Two 3-D printers went to St. John’s Riverside, where Dr. Stephen Erosa has been busy printing around the clock and has printed hundreds of these 3D PPE pieces for St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers.
One larger 3-D printer went to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers.
YPL Deputy Director Susan Thaler and staff members, Arnald Torres and Tara Somersall, are collecting and donating books to students and parents. They recently delivered a number of books to the Yonkers Public Schools at their “grab-n-go” site.
