Yonkers is Ready for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

City Councilmembers John Rubbo and Mike Breen paint the line on McLean Avenue for St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday March 24

City Council Minority Leader Mike Breen and City Councilman John Rubbo recently put the finishing touches on the green line that runs down the middle of McLean Avenue in preparation for the annual Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place Saturday, March 24.

Joining Breen and Rubbo were Deputy Mayor Steve Levy and members of the Saint Patrick’s Day parade committee. Members of the committee, the Yonkers Police Department, merchants on McLean Avenue, marchers, pipers and Irish-Americans from across the tristate area are all ready for the big day.

The weather for the big day looks good so join the thousands or attendees along the Irish Mile on McLean Avenue from ringing with the sounds of bagpipes on a day when everyone who attends is Irish. Tell your family and friends who live too far away to attend the Yonkers parade to watch and listen on Facebook live at Yonkers Facebook.com/St. Patrick’s Day Parade on McLean Avenue.
