It was another tough week for our Yonkers football teams! Last Saturday The Yonkers Brave gave a great team effort when they lost to Port Chester HS 21-12 at Port Chester HS. Scarsdale HS defeated our Yonkers Force team 35-6 at Roosevelt HS.
For the Brave two players stood out. They were Dujour Holmes and Manny Romero who both had a rushing TD to make the contest so close. After the game Coach Vic Chiappa said “The kids played hard…..just came up little short”! This Saturday the Brave takes on Scarsdale HS at Saunders HS Field. Kickoff is 1:30 PM.
The Force ran into a very good Scarsdale HS team last Saturday! Coach Anthony Fava told me “Scarsdale was a very tough, well coached team. We will look to bounce back and play better this week”! For the Force Magic Soriano scored their lone TD on a running play. This Saturday the Force will host New Rochelle HS at Roosevelt HS Field. Kickoff is at 1:30 PM.
