Yonkers firefighters kept a 50-year tradition alive, caroling and bringing holiday cheer to nursing homes
On Dec. 8, over fifty active and retired members of your Yonkers Fire Department brought Christmas Cheer to many residents in the nursing homes in Yonkers, Hastings and Dobbs Ferry along with stops to the grave of Father Thomas McDonald, and to the home of former Yonkers Fire Captain Thomas Fitzpatrick.
One stop was at Mother Cabrini where the members not only sang for the residents but to visit and bring in the holiday spirt to former Fire Commissioner Tony Pagano and his wife Dale.
