Yonkers Couple Busted With Cache of Guns Upstate

On September 25, 2021 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the New York State Police arrested Nicholas G. Villanueva, age 26, and Diana Villanueva, age 25, of Yonkers, New York, for Manufacture, Transport, Disposition and Defacement of Weapons and Dangerous Instruments and Appliances, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree – both class D felonies.


Following a traffic stop in Rockland County, N. Villanueva and D. Villanueva were arrested after a search of their vehicle resulted in the discovery of numerous illegal high-capacity firearm magazines and an illegally possessed loaded firearm.


N. Villanueva and D. Villanueva were charged with multiple counts of Manufacture-Transport-Disposition and Defacement of Weapons and Dangerous Instruments and Appliances and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree. Additionally, N. Villanueva was separately charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree – a class C felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree – a class A misdemeanor. The suspects were arraigned in the town of Chestnut Ridge Court and remanded to Rockland County Jail. They are scheduled to appear back in court on October 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
