The League of Women Voters of the Rivertowns announces a virtual Candidate Forum for candidates
for Yonkers City Council President.
The Forum will be a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The
Forum can be viewed live by pre-registration at https://bit.ly/YonkersCCPres
There will be no audience participation. Questions must be submitted ahead of time either at
registration or by email to info@lwv-riverto wns.org. The deadline for submission of questions is
Sunday, October 19 at 9 a.m. Questions will be vetted by a committee of League members who will
submit them to the moderator prior to the start of the Forum. The League is partnering with Disability
Rights New York to provide live American Sign Language interpretation.
Participating in the Forum are candidates Lakisha Collins-Bellamy and Dean T. Politopoulos. CollinsBellamy is an incumbent. She is with the Democratic Party. Politopoulos is running on the Republican and Conservative lines.
The event will be recorded and made available on the League’s YouTube channel, LWV Rivertowns,
and on the League’s website, www.lwv-rivertowns.org, and Facebook page. YouTube has closed
captions where the text can be translated into any language.
