Yonkers City Clerk’s Office is Open by Appointment Only

Notice: Yonkers, NY – January 6, 2022 – Keeping in line with New York State Executive Order 11.1, beginning Tuesday, January 6, 2022, the Yonkers City Clerk’s Office will require everyone to make an appointment before visiting the office. In addition, appointments for marriage licenses will only be available to Yonkers Residents. Proof of residency is required by at least one of the two parties before scheduling an appointment. City Clerk Vincent Spano is implementing this change in policy to address the increasing COVID cases throughout our region.

“We remain committed to providing the services of this office during this spike in cases while at the same time protecting the health and wellbeing of our visitors and employees,” said City Clerk Spano. “It is necessary to control the number of visitors in our public spaces and this temporary policy change will allow us to do so. This new policy will remain in place until further notice. We ask everyone to refrain from visiting our office if they find themselves ill or have had contact with anyone that has COVID.”

Please note that appointments are very limited and all visitors to City Hall must wear a protective face mask regardless of vaccination status. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (except holidays) 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuesday (except holidays) 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Marriage Licenses: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (except holidays) 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Marriage Licenses: Tuesday (except holidays) 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
