Over the past six months, Rising Newspapers has been reporting on complaints from democratic leaders in Westchester over the efforts of New York State Chief Judge Janet DiFiore and husband Dennis Glazer to get the democratic nomination for their daughter, Alexandra DiFiore -Murphy, for Westchester County Court. Our latest story appeared in our papers last month. Titled “Clash of the Titans for County Court,” the piece included information on another candidate for County Court, Westchester Assistant District Attorney Robert Prisco.
Last week, Rising Newspapers learned that an unauthorized mailing was sent out to Westchester Democratic district leaders with a reprint of our story. Part of the mailing is pictured above. The mailing does not include who paid for this piece, which is required by NYS Election Law. The mailing does also not include a bulk post office stamp, which is usually used for professional political pieces.
Most important, no one from Rising Newspapers authorized the reprinting of our story for this mailing. We ask our readers to help us identify who is responsible for this mailing and email us at dmurphy@risingmediagroup.com.
