Below you can find the top 10 players in MLB right now.

Shohei Ohtani – Los Angeles Angels

Undisputable. Shohei Ohtani is a uniquely talented player and only just missed out on being named MVP in back-to-back season by Aaron Judge last time out.

He is one of the best pitchers in the league and is one of the most accurate hitters in the game. Add being an electric sprinter and you’ve got one of the best all-round players to ever play in Major League Baseball.

Aaron Judge – New York Yankees

Last year’s MVP put together a historic season in MLB by breaking Roger Maris’ American League home run record.

The New York Yankees gave Judge an extended and monstrous contract which was fully deserved after hitting 62 home runs and testing free agency.

A World Series still eludes the big hitter at one of MLBs biggest teams and it looks like that quest could go on for another year.

Mike Trout – Los Angeles Angels

The only thing holding back Mike Trout is fitness. When he is able to get a run of games going, he puts in performances that rank him as one of the best in the league.

Last season, Trout only managed 119 games throughout the whole season for the Los Angeles Angels, but still managed to put up 40 home runs and won his ninth Silver Slugger award.

Manny Machado – San Diego Padres

As one of MLBs most consistent payers, Manny Machado has also managed to stay mostly healthy throughout his career.

Finishing second in the National League MVP race last season, Machado continues to put up strong numbers and great performances in 2023.

As well as a good arm, he is no slouch, and has managed to steal 21 bags in 25 attempts over the past two season, and this sprint speed hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.

Freddie Freeman – Los Angeles Dodgers

Last year Freeman signed a new deal with the Dodgers and hit 21 home runs to reward the team for their faith in him.

Since entering the league in 2010, Freeman has only played less than 147 games twice in his career and his consistency at the plate ensures as he gets older, he will still be a vital player I in the league who constantly makes contact.

Nolan Arenado – St Louis Cardinals

You won’t get left off this list when you hit at least 30 home runs in seven consecutive seasons.

A Power Hitter for the St Louis Cardinals, he has won the Gold Glove in every year he has been in the league, along with five silver slugger awards.

Arenado finished third in the MVP voting last season and will hope to be back in the conversation once again in 2023.

Julio Rodríguez – Seattle Mariners

Last season Julio Rodríguez became the fastest player to 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases on MLB since joining the league.

At just 22 years of age, Rodríguez is one of the leagues brightest young stars. His rookie season started slowly but absolutely blew up down the stretch.

He is a legitimate star for the future and one who, if he cleans up his game a little, will be hitting huge numbers consistently for the Mariners.

Mookie Betts – Los Angeles Dodgers

The only player from 2015 to 2022 to total more than 200 home runs and more that 150 stolen bases is a must on this list.

Mookie Betts is one of the best five-tool players in the league, being one of the fastest, one of the biggest hitters, and a top defender as well. He has elite hitting skills as well as plenty of power in his arm.

A top five finisher in the MVO race in four of the last seven season, Betts consistency and range make him one of the true elite players in MLB today.

Yordan Álvarez – Houston Astros

While not being the best outfielder, Yordan Álvarez is one of the best hitters in the league and was a clear candidate for the MVP award last season before Aaron Judge broke the home run record.

He is one of the most dangerous left-handed hitters in the game. Along with Judge, Álvarez was the only other player last season with an On-base Plus Slugging (OPS) over 1.000 and has done this twice in his career to date.

Trea Turner – Philadelphia Phillies

With an incredible combination of speed and power, Trea Turner is one of the best short stops in the league and well worth the huge deal the Phillies rewarded him with.

He hit 21 home runs last season on top of stealing 27 bases from 30 attempts which was an incredible 90% success rate.
