Enjoy an Evening of Entertainment, Dancing and Fireworks in Valhalla
Westchester County invites residents and visitors to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at the annual Music Fest & Fireworks on Friday, July 3, at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. The park will come alive with music, family fun and one of the region’s most spectacular fireworks displays.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, we are proud to bring our community together for one of Westchester’s most cherished summer traditions. The Music Fest and Fireworks celebration is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and neighbors to gather, celebrate our nation’s history, and create lasting memories while enjoying great music and an unforgettable fireworks display.”
Westchester County Parks Acting Commissioner Peter Tartaglia said: “Kensico Dam Plaza provides a spectacular setting for this annual celebration. Whether you’re dancing to the music, relaxing with a picnic, or watching the fireworks light up the night sky, this event offers something for everyone.”
Families and friends are encouraged to spend the evening playing, picnicking and enjoying the company of loved ones against the backdrop of the historic Kensico Dam. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. as our DJ kicks off the evening, followed by a live performance from Naked Soul Band at 7 p.m. The celebration will conclude with a breathtaking fireworks display at approximately 9 p.m., illuminating the sky above the iconic Kensico Dam.
Admission and parking are free. Carpooling or taking mass transit is strongly encouraged. Parking is recommended at the North White Plains or Valhalla Metro-North train stations. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, as well as a picnic.
The annual Music Fest and Fireworks is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by Westchester Parks Foundation with support from Yonkers Brewing Company.
Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway, in Valhalla.
