Westchester County Police Officer Eddie Ramirez Honored for Keeping Our Kids Safe

Congratulations to Westchester County Police Officer Eddie Ramirez on his selection as the 2025 Youth Officer of the Year by the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association. The award recognizes PO Ramirez for his expertise and longtime dedication to youth in the communities where he has served.

Among his assignments during his 19-year career, PO Ramirez has been a patrol officer and Community Resource Officer in Mount Kisco, a School Resource Officer in the Hendrick Hudson School District in Cortlandt and an Advisor of the WCPD Cadet Program.

He began his career with the Mount Kisco Police Department and worked regularly with local youth, including through Neighbors Link and the Boys & Girls Club, under the village’s Police and Community Together program. He became a member of the WCPD in 2015 when the MKPD was consolidated into our Department.

In announcing the award, the Albany-based association organization wrote: “This prestigious award recognizes an officer who has demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership and innovation in serving the youth of our communities. Officer Ramirez’s commitment to building positive relationships, mentoring young people and implementing impactful youth programs has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals. His work exemplifies the highest ideals of community policing and the mission of SNYPJOA.”

The association also recognized Officer Ramirez for serving as an instructor at its training conferences. “We are honored to count Officer Ramirez among the exceptional youth officers in New York State,” Association Executive Director Brian K. Forte wrote.
