Young golfers can tee up for success
Fore! Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp returns to Westchester County Parks’ six golf courses this summer for children ages 7 to 17. Registration opens Monday, April 7 at noon.
Junior Golf Camp locations are Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake in Yonkers, Hudson Hills in Ossining, Maple Moor in White Plains, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights and Saxon Woods in Scarsdale. Camp will be held Monday through Thursday, from Monday July 7 through Thursday, Aug. 14. Dates and times vary per course.
County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “Junior Golf Camp provides a comfortable learning environment, an excellent opportunity for young golfers looking to improve their game and create a chance for kids to fall in love with the game of golf. Campers are taught in small groups by PGA professionals who will inspire the young athletes to cultivate their golf skills.”
At Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp, kids of all skill levels will learn the game’s fundamentals, hone their skills and develop their confidence.
Commissioner of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “Our six pro-level golf courses offer beautiful landscapes, top-notch facilities and well-maintained grounds. Their locations—at the top, in the middle and in the lower part of Westchester—are convenient to everyone.”
Tuition is $100 per Westchester resident camper, per session. For more information, call (914) 231-2146.
