Free Bee Alert! Westchester County Executive George Latimer has lifted the fares on the Bee-Line Bus system, and is offering free rides this summer. From July 1, 2024 through September 2, 2024, all Bee-Line buses including ParaTransit will be fare-free, providing residents and visitors with a convenient and cost-effective transportation option throughout the County.
Regular fares will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. This initiative is part of Westchester County’s ongoing efforts to support local communities, ease transportation costs for families, and encourage the use of public transit. With the summer season bringing increased travel and numerous events across the County, fare-free Bee-Line buses aim to make getting around easier and more affordable for everyone.
Latimer said: “We are excited to bring back free rides on the Bee-Line buses this summer. This initiative not only helps our residents save money but also promotes the use of public transportation, reducing traffic congestion and lowering our carbon footprint. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and explore all that Westchester County has to offer.”
