County Executive George Latimer announced that on June 21, “an underground pipe ruptured at the wave pool at Wilson Woods park and it has compromised the structure of the pool.
“The wave pool is inoperable at this point there are three children’s structures that will be opening on Fri. June 24, The Spray Deck, the Aqua Playground and the slides. Those elements of the park will be open for children to enjoy and to cool themselves off this weekend. The rest of the park will be open for picnics and group acitivites. Westchester County will be waiving the fee this weekend for the Spray Deck and the slides.
“The County DPW and County Parks are working with a contractor to determine the cause and repair the wave pool. We hope to have good news as soon as possible.”
