Village of Ossining Police & State Police Arrest Ossining Man on Narcotics & Gun Charges

A comprehensive investigation led by the Village of Ossining Police Department, in collaboration with the New York State Police Troop K and Troop F Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Teams (VGNET), has resulted in the arrest of Djion Bentley, 29, of Ossining, NY. The investigation, which spanned several months, focused on activities related to narcotics distribution within the region.

On May 22, 2025, law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at 24 James Street in the Village of Ossining. During the operation, officers recovered a Jennings Firearms 9mm pistol and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine from inside the residence.

Bentley was subsequently charged with: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to Sell (Class B Felony); Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (Class D Felony); Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree(Class C Felony)

Following his arraignment in the Village of Ossining Court, Bentley was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $75,000 bond.
