YONKERS PRIDE UNITES COMMUNITY FOR 9th ANNUAL FESTIVAL ON JUNE 13, 2026

Festival, Flag Raising, and Annual Scholarship Program Highlight a Month of Community, Visibility, and Impact

Kickoff Mixer Fundraiser on Thursday, May 21

Yonkers Pride, in partnership with the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID, announces its 2026 Pride Month programming, anchored by the 9th Annual Yonkers Pride Festival on Saturday, June 13 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM along Main Street in Downtown Yonkers. This year’s celebration also includes a Kick-Off Mixer on May 21, the annual Flag Raising on June 12, and the Yonkers LGBTQ+ Pride Scholarship, highlighting a continued commitment to visibility, opportunity, and community support.

Guided by the 2026 theme, “Stronger Together,” Yonkers Pride continues its mission to create an inclusive and meaningful space that honors freedom of expression, uplifts activists, and celebrates the diversity and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community, their families, and allies.

“This year’s theme reflects the strength we find in showing up for one another,” said Jessika Pineda, President and Festival Chair of Yonkers Pride. “Pride is both a celebration and a call to action, and we’re proud to create space for connection, reflection, and joy here in Yonkers.”

Kicking off this year’s celebration, Yonkers Pride will host a Kickoff Mixer Fundraiser on Thursday, May 21, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Zuppa (59 Main Street). With performances by Anastasia B. Major, the event will bring the community together to connect, celebrate, and kick off Pride season.

The Pride weekend will begin with a Flag Raising Ceremony at The Unity Fountain at City Hall, 40 S Broadway, on Friday, June 12, from 4:30–5:00 PM. Hosted in partnership with the City of Yonkers and the Mayor’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Board, the ceremony serves as a powerful and visible affirmation of the City’s support for the LGBTQ+ community.

“Yonkers Pride is a celebration of love, inclusion, and the strength that comes from embracing our diversity. This year’s theme reflects the values that define our city. We are proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ residents, families, and allies as we celebrate the vibrant spirit of Yonkers and continue building a city where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to be themselves.”

The celebration continues on Saturday, June 13, with the Yonkers Pride Festival, the largest LGBTQ+ event in Westchester County. The festival will feature a full afternoon of live entertainment, including performances by drag queens, drag kings, and a diverse lineup of artists. Headlining this year’s event is Luxx Noir London, a standout from Season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, known for her high-impact style and commanding stage presence. A rising recording artist, she recently released her new album Wings (March 2026), following her debut Light In The Dark (2024).  Returning to the Yonkers Pride stage, DJ Dada Cozmic will once again keep the energy high, while Catrina LoveLace returns as host, bringing her signature charisma and crowd-pleasing flair. Additional performers to be announced.

Festivalgoers can also explore a wide array of vendors offering food, crafts, artwork, and community resources, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for attendees of all ages. Vendor applications remain open through May 22.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation, Yonkers Pride will once again award its Yonkers LGBTQ+ Pride Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship presented to a Yonkers Public High School senior who demonstrates leadership, service, academic achievement, and dedication to the LGBTQ+ community. Applications are open through May 15, 2026, and recipients will be recognized during the festival.

Volunteers play a vital role in bringing Pride Month events to life, helping to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all. Community members are encouraged to get involved and support the celebration. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up!
