Turkeys Delivered to Yonkers families by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester and Putnam (BBBSWP) staff members, BIGS (mentors) and volunteers gathered at Chicken Island early Sunday morning to pick up their turkeys and gift certificates and then deliver them to many of their families.  Currently the organization has 91 Littles in Yonkers and has been delivering Thanksgiving meals for the past 15 years.   “We were all very excited to brighten the lives of our Littles and their families during this holiday,” says Ann Ellsworth, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester and Putnam.  “Big Brothers Big Sisters is grateful to share these turkeys with families of our Littles, to enhance their Thanksgiving table and provide some relief from the high cost of food!”
