Trump Endorses Sculti for Westchester County Executive but Does it Help or Hurt in Deep Blue NY?

Christine Sculti, with Eastchester Supervisor Tony Colavita

President Donald Trump endorsed the campaign of Christine Sculti for Westchester County Executive, with a post on Truth Social on Feb. 10.

“On Tuesday, February 11th, there is an important Special Election for Westchester County Executive in New York! Democrats have made Westchester County a ‘Sanctuary County’ protecting criminal illegals!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Republicans, Conservatives, and Common Sense Voters must GET OUT THE VOTE, and send a message to the Corrupt Democrats. No more protecting criminal aliens. VOTE REPUBLICAN!”-posted Trump.

Sculti said in a post, “Thank you, President Trump! Westchester, GO VOTE!” and in a statement, her campaign told the NY Post, “We are very grateful to President Trump for raising awareness of this crucial special election, which is all about Ken Jenkins’ disastrous sanctuary law.”

The Trump endorsement of Sculti may fire up her base of support but will also embolden Westchester democrats to support County Executive Ken Jenkins.

One Westchester democrat told us, “It will be a referendum on Donald Trump. The first major one since the last November election and since he dumped a bevy of MAGA Executive orders. A big win for Ken is a loss for Donald Trump, a statement made in a County of 1 million people that his surrogates are not what the people want.”

Sculti also received endorsements from two prominent Westchester Republicans. Eastchester Supervisor Tony Colavita wrote:

From Supervisor Tony Colavita:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 11 is an important Special Election for Westchester County Executive and I urge you to vote for my good friend, Republican candidate, Christine Sculti.

Christine has been a friend to Eastchester for many years. As Chief Advisor to County Executive Rob Astorino, Christine has the qualifications and experience to lead Westchester.

She is running against a radical Democrat who was the architect of the insane Sanctuary County Law, which has put our residents in danger. Christine will repeal Sanctuary County, cut taxes and restore common sense to county government.

Please join me in voting tomorrow for Christine Sculti for County Executive. Polls are open from 6 am – 9 pm at your regular polling place. Thank you and don’t forget to vote,” said Colavita.

Former County Executive Rob Astorino wrote, “Today is a very important special election for Westchester County Executive and I’m imploring you to vote for Christine Sculti!” said

The current appointed Democratic county executive made Westchester a sanctuary county, protecting even violent criminal illegal aliens. He supports congestion pricing, jammed through the biggest tax increase in county history, and then gave himself a 44% pay raise. This will stop if we elect Christine Sculti.

So please get out and vote today – polls stay open until 9 pm – at your regular polling location and cast your ballot for Christine Sculti for County Executive. And don’t stop there, please text, email and call all your likeminded family, friends and neighbors and ask them to vote today.

We can win today and flip deep blue Westchester red again – but ONLY if you vote,” said Astorino.

Early vote totals across the county were said to be very low.

Sculti has had more support in this campaign for County Executive. She appeared on WABC Radio 770 for an interview with John Katsamatidis and has run radio ads on the station.

She has also been traveling around Westchester in The Christine Sculti Victory Express bus, pictured below.
