Town of Eastchester Maintains AAA Bond Rating; Announces September 11th Memorial Service

On August 19, 2022, Moody’s Investors Services reaffirmed the Town of Eastchester bond rating of Aaa. This rating applies to the new bond issue and any outstanding debt the Town currently has. Moody’s has concurrently assigned a stable outlook. The Aaa rating reflects the town’s strong financial position benefiting from conservative budgeting and strong operational oversight.

The Town Supervisor and Town Comptroller have kept a tight rein on the Town’s finances during these challenging economic times. The stable outlook reflects expectations of continued strong operations given the Town of Eastchester’s prudent management.

“We are delighted to be given the highest rating a municipal government can obtain from Moody’s. Receiving the lowest interest rates on our bonds translates directly to tax savings and more capital improvements” said Eastchester Town Supervisor Anthony S. Colavita

The Town of Eastchester also invited residents and members of community organizations to the Town of Eastchester’s Annual September 11th Memorial Service.  The service will be held on Sunday, September 11th, 2022 beginning at 8:35am in front of the Eastchester Town Hall located at 40 Mill Road. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside and capacity will be limited.
