Tom DiNapoli’s reelection campaign announced a $2.1 million ad campaign today. The ad spend will be on both digital and linear TV, across New York State, and will run through the primary election on Tuesday, June 23.

The first advertisement, featuring real New York union members who know and support Tom DiNapoli, will begin running on Wednesday, May 13. This will be the first of multiple ads the campaign will air to remind New Yorkers of Tom DiNapoli’s stellar track record as Comptroller.

“I give my all to protect my neighbors,” said Bobby C., a full time firefighter. “Tom DiNapoli sees our sacrifice. He’s gone after corrupt officials. He’s our fighter.”

“Tom DiNapoli has our back,” said Melissa R., a nurse. “[He] built one of the best pension funds in the country, that means I don’t have to worry.”

“Tom DiNapoli has done an incredible job as New York State Comptroller,” said Aaron Ghitelman, Campaign Spokesperson for Tom DiNapoli. “He’s doubled the size of the pension fund, he’s prioritized workers and organized labor at every opportunity, and he’s done the work to right the ship of a once scandal-plagued office. While our opponents are funded by family members and wealthy out-of-state donors, Tom is the pick for working New Yorkers and these ad campaigns show that reality.”

Tom DiNapoli has been endorsed by Attorney General Tish James, Congressmembers Adriano Espaillat, George Latimer, John Mannion and Pat Ryan, and by organized labor unions including NYS AFL-CIO, PEF, DC9, Building & Construction Trades Council, Council 66, TWU, HTC, 32BJ, AFSCME, CSEA, Teamsters and RWDSU, county leaders across the State, and in February earned the support of the Democratic Party of New York with 90% of the vote at their convention in Syracuse.
