Thomas Pell Wildlife Sanctuary Cleanup Sept. 28

Join us for a day of cleaning up the beautiful Thomas Pell Wildlife Sanctuary!

This event, organized by HRRP in partnership with Pelham Parks and Rangers, offers a unique canoe-based cleanup experience in the sanctuary. For those who prefer to stay on land, the launch site will serve as a cleanup area. The canoe group will head upriver to the sanctuary and Goose Island to collect trash, with boats departing the shoreline at 9am. The cleanup will conclude around 1pm, but late arrivals are welcome. Help us preserve the beauty of our local wildlife sanctuary and make a positive impact on the environment!

The easiest way to get to the site is via the BX12 or BX29 buses or by bicycle. Car parking is available at Orchard Beach.

Bring sunscreen, bug spray, boots, water, snacks, and anything else to make the day more enjoyable!

Please stop by the registration desk to drop off your signed waiver. Everyone (bringing a boat or not) at the event needs to sign a waiver. Link to Waiver
