The Osborn in Rye is the only community in Westchester County to receive this honor-
The Osborn in Rye has once again been named as one of the nation’s “Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities” (CCRCs) by Newsweek. It is the only CCRC in Westchester County and one of just ten communities in New York State to be awarded this honor.
“It is exciting to receive such prestigious recognition as one of the finest Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the nation based on Newsweek’s comprehensive rating process,” said Matthew G. Anderson, President and CEO of The Osborn. “The outstanding dedication of our staff, the wonderful programs, the nurturing sense of community, the elegance of our residences, and the natural beauty of our campus all contribute to our ability to provide an optimal lifestyle for older adults.”
According to Newsweek, today’s older Americans lead more active lifestyles than the previous generation and CCRCs are an increasingly attractive option for engagement. As the country’s population ages, the number of CCRCs has doubled in the past decade to well over 2,000. For the second consecutive year, Newsweek and global data research firm Statista have partnered to rank America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities in 2025.
The Osborn has been honored for excellence with many other accolades. The Osborn Pavilion skilled nursing center was named as a “Best Nursing Home” for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. Westchester magazine readers selected The Osborn as “Best of Westchester” in the Senior Residence category in 2024. The Osborn was also awarded its fifth consecutive five-year accreditation by CARF International, which is widely regarded as the highest standard in senior living excellence.
