THE 28th ANNUAL ASIAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 31

Expect a vibrant tribute to Asian-American traditions, arts and music!

The 28th Annual Asian-American Heritage Festival will take place on Saturday, May 31, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

The celebration will showcase Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Indonesian cultures with live songs, dances, musical performances, ethnic foods, Asian arts and cultural exhibits, and Chinese paper cutting and origami. There will also be children’s entertainment, balloon sculptures, games and face painting.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “May is Asian-American Heritage Month. This vivacious celebration will let everyone learn more about the remarkable history of Asian Americans and applaud their many diverse and significant contributions to our society. Our Heritage Festivals are a great way to have the community come together to honor the variety of cultures and traditions of our neighbors.”

Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “People of all ethnic backgrounds appreciate this event because it blends festivity, community and cultural education. It’s a chance to connect, learn, and celebrate together in the heart of our public spaces.”
