
On February 7, 2026, at about 2:20 a.m., New York State Police in Stormville observed a vehicle traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop near mile marker 24 in the Town of Putnam Valley. The driver failed to comply, leading to a brief pursuit. The vehicle stopped a short distance later near mile marker 34.5 in the Town of East Fishkill.
During a vehicle inventory, troopers located a loaded Glock handgun attached to a large ammunition feeding device, described as an extended drum-style magazine.
The driver, Devon A. Marc Fortune-Hervey Jr., 21, of Brooklyn, was charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd , a class C felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd , a class D felony
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony
- Criminal Contempt 2nd , a class A misdemeanor
- Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd , a class A misdemeanor
Passengers Malik Fowles Blackstock, 23, and Sean A. Lindsay, 21, both of Brooklyn, were charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, a class C felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd , a class D felony
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony
Passengers Amari D. Andries, 22, and Ibrahim Jalloh, 20, both of Brooklyn, were charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd , a class D felony
- Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd , a class D felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd , a class C felony
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony
All occupants were arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $50,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $450,000 partially secured bond. A return date was set for February 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
