On Sunday, March 30th at 2:30 pm, at Sacred Heart Church, 417 Broadway, Dobbs ferry NY, the newly formed non-profit Szabo Chamber Music Society will present an exciting concert of Gypsy Piano Trios featuring nationally known musicians, Cathy Yang, violin, Andy Kim, cello and Dr. Sandor Szabo, piano, pictured above.
The program will include famous piano trios inspired by gypsy music, including the exciting Gypsy Trio in G Major by Haydn, the rhapsodic Dumki Trio in E Minor by Dvorak, and a selection of invigorating Hungarian Dances by Brahms. Dr Szabo has decades experience directing leading music series throughout NJ and NY and has served as Music Director/Organist at Central Presbyterian Church, Summit, NJ and New Providence Presbyterian Church in New Providence, NJ. Dr. Szabo is currently the Music Director of the Oratorio Society of New Jersey, Music Director at Temple B’nai Abraham, Livingston, NJ and Music Director at Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Pompeii Parish, Dobbs Ferry, NY.
