Summer is Over, But Bargains Continue!

By Eric Wolf Schoen

The calendar says September 1, which.means for most of us summer is over. This was a good summer, with ample amounts of food such as chicken , meat, fresh produce and fruits available  at Your local supermarkets. You can thank the good weather in most areas of the. Country.

Plus price reductions promised by Trump never came.about. Many stores I. Visited during the summer reduced the prices on items with a few days until expiration. Items like bagged, dressed salads have several goof days to expiration. So the consumer gets a good bargain, and the store is not throwing away good edible products,,

You will see more of this which benefits supermarkets and shoppers in the coming months as tariffs increase and stores look for ways to increase the bottom line with minimal impact on their cherished guests.

In the meantime be like my sister. She know the managers of many of the departments in the supermarket so when she shops she will ask the boss to select t(e best items for her!
