The Boards of Trustees and Administration of St. John’s Riverside Hospital and Saint Joseph’s Medical Center announced today that they have decided to enter into discussions to explore opportunities for integration between the two facilities. The goal in this exploration is to determine how best to improve the delivery of health care services, potentially achieve economic efficiencies, and expand services resulting in the improved health of Yonkers and southern Westchester communities.
As we begin this process of exploration, we will be meeting with, and welcome the opportunity to work with members of the community, as well as State and local regulatory agencies and other interested parties. Information regarding the process will be made available as we learn more.
“In the 150 years of St. John’s Riverside Hospital‘s service to the community, high quality patient care has always been our top priority.
