NewsCommunityEducation SPCA Welcomes 21 Dogs Flown in for Adoption October 7, 2021 Facebook Twitter SPCA Westchester welcomed 21 homeless dogs and puppies who were flown to Westchester Airport in partnership with Windy Ridge Rescue in South Carolina by animal rescue nonprofit group Amelia Air Animal Rescue. A plane carrying the dogs touched down at Ross Aviation West at the Westchester Airport on Saturday, October 2nd, pictured above.A major missing link for many rural, often over-crowded shelters across the country is the ability to transport dogs and cats to more populated areas where larger numbers of potential adopters live. Amelia Air provides that missing link by offering compassionate air transport to deliver animals directly to Rescue and Adoption Centers who can find them loving, responsible homes.Amelia Air Animal Rescue was co-founded by Petra Janney, niece of Academy Award winner, Allison Janney. These 21 beautiful babies will all be available for adoption soon; we look forward to flying more missions with @spcawestchester, who recently opened a stunning new state-of-the-art facility in Briarcliff! Now its up to you to connect with the SPCA of Westchester to adopt one of these dogs. Visit spcawestchester.org for more information.
