Show Your Holiday Spirit -“YONKERS DECK THE HALLS” Decorating Contest

Residents & Businesses Can Enter-Contest Runs Today through December 18

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today announced the launch of the “Yonkers Deck the Halls” Holiday Decorating Contest. Residents and businesses are invited to showcase their holiday spirit by decorating their properties and submitting entries for a chance to win the grand prize of a $250 Visa gift card and a custom “Yonkers Deck the Halls” lawn sign. The contest runs from Monday, December 2 to Wednesday, December 18 at 5PM.

“This contest highlights the creativity and pride of Yonkers residents,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “I encourage everyone to participate and help make Yonkers shine this holiday season.”

Contest Details:

Participants can submit photos or videos of exterior or interior holiday decorations. Submissions can include homes, apartments, businesses, schools/classrooms, or community spaces. Entries will be judged on creativity, holiday spirit, use of lights and decor, and Yonkers pride. Participants can submit photos or videos of their decorated properties on social media using the hashtag #YonkersDeckTheHalls and tagging @CityofYonkers.   • Contest opens: Monday, December 2, 2024

  • Winners announced: Friday, December 20, 2024

The City will feature select entries on its social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok, during the contest.
