Senator Shelley Mayer Hosts Food Drive with Feeding Westchester for “Hunger Action Month” at Local Fire Stations and Town Halls

State Senator Shelley B. Mayer is partnering with Feeding Westchester to sponsor a food donation drive in honor of Hunger Action Month, which takes place in September. The drive will continue through Monday, September 30, with five drop-off locations throughout Senate District 37. Mayer partnered with local Fire Departments and local governments who have agreed to receive donations at their Fire Stations or town hall.

The items requested include: brown or white rice, whole-grain pasta, shelf-stable milk, canned meat, canned fish, canned vegetables, peanut butter, whole-grain cereal, canned or dried fruit, and canned meals. Please donate non-perishable items only that are not in glass containers, are pre-opened, or are out of date. 

Those who wish to donate may drop supplies off at any of the following five locations during business hours:
