Benjamin Restaurant Group Celebrates Opening at Legendary Location

The Sea Fire Grill, an upscale seafood restaurant by the Benjamin Restaurant Group (known for Benjamin Steakhouse and their original Manhattan location), officially opened on October 8, 2025, at the historic Yonkers City Pier (71 Water Grant St., Yonkers, NY). The transformation of the former X2O Xaviars on the Hudson space includes a revamped interior, designed by Masakazu Abe, and features a lighter, more open floorplan with stunning 180-degree waterfront views of the Hudson River and NYC skyline.

Led by Executive Chef Arturo McLeod, the menu emphasizes contemporary American seafood with seasonal highlights like chilled whole lobster, Spanish octopus, roasted Nova Scotia halibut, and a robust raw bar with caviar service. It also includes prime dry-aged steaks, chops, and pastas for a steakhouse twist. The venue offers impeccable service, a curated wine list, and private dining options, open for lunch and dinner (hours to be confirmed post-launch).

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano attended the ribbon-cutting, praising the addition as a boost to the city’s culinary scene. Owners Benjamin Sinanaj and Benjamin Prelvukaj highlighted their excitement to join the “vibrant community,” aiming to deliver memorable experiences with premium ingredients and hospitality. Reservations are now available via their website.

Founded in 2006 by servers-turned-restaurateurs Benjamin Prelvukaj and Benjamin Sinanaj, Benjamin Restaurant Group has grown into one of the New York Metro area’s premier culinary destinations, with acclaimed establishments including Benjamin Steakhouse, Benjamin Prime, and The Sea Fire Grill in Manhattan, along with Benjamin Steakhouse Westchester. The team regularly welcomes celebrities from Juan Soto and Anna Wintour to Mariah Carey, alongside devoted regulars who return for exceptional steaks and seafood.

At The Sea Fire Grill Yonkers, Executive Chef Arturo McLeod will present a menu that celebrates contemporary American seafood crafted from the finest ingredients, all set against panoramic views of the New York City skyline and Hudson River.

“Yonkers is excited to be the new home of The Sea Fire Grill,” said Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano. “This five-star premiere, family-owned restaurant will attract residents and foodies from across the region, showcasing our city’s exceptional waterfront and views. The Sea Fire Grill surely will become a culinary destination for all.”

“The Yonkers City Pier is a beautiful and iconic place, with so much history. We’ll cherish the memories of those who have been there before us, and we’re excited to bring our signature dishes, fresh seafood, and warm hospitality to this incredible location,” said the owners.
