As New York Republicans meet on Long Island to nominate candidates for the upcoming 2022 elections, good work by the NYGOP’s press operations led to the identification and removal of a Russian-American TV Station.
The TV network, NTV, attempted to obtain media credentials for the three day convention without telling the party leadership who they were. When pressed to identify the station and company that they work for, eventually, they confessed that they were a media company completely reliants and supportive of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin is now in his second week of invading Ukraine, and NY GOP Chair Nick Langworthy said they wanted no part of pro-Putin propoganda to “infiltrate our convention.”
“New York Republicans proudly stand with the people of Ukraine and will not allow our convention to be used as a Putin propaganda tool,” he said.
No reason was determined why NTV wanted to get into the NYGOP convention.
n August 2014, NTV aired a documentary titled 13 Friends of the Junta, which described critics of Russia’s policies in Ukraine as “traitors” and supporters of “fascists”
Netflix has refused to air any NTV productions.
