From the Village of Port Chester:

The Village of Port Chester is advising residents that one of its sanitation vehicles has been detained by Westchester County after traces of radiation contamination were registered during its drop off this morning.
In an effort to limit the number of additional trucks from being potentially impacted by such contamination tomorrow and so on, we are distributing this notice to homes located in the general vicinity of Shelley Avenue/ Robert Avenue/ Hawley Avenue this afternoon.
We ask that all village residents who may be under the care of a physician who prescribes treatments or medication regiments for them that utilize radiation or radioactive elements arrange for the disposal of all contaminated refuse to transpire privately and consult their physician for necessary guidance.
