On National Police Night Out, Yonkers welcomed the delegation from the Dominican Republic to the City of Yonkers: the Honorable José Rijo Presbot, Director General of the Budget; General Juan Hilario Guzmán Badia, Deputy Director of the National Police; the Honorable Dioris Anselmo Astacio Pacheco, Mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Council Member, and delegates.
This event was sponsored by Sergeant Héctor López, President of the New York Hispanic Law Enforcement Organization (H.A.L.E.O.) and its board of directors; the Honorable Wilson Terrero, founder of the Dominican Cultural Association of Yonkers; Claudia Espinoza-Terrero, President of the Dominican Cultural Association of Yonkers; Luis Muñiz, President of the Hispanic Cultural Foundation of Yonkers; and Captain Brian Burke, Third Precinct Commanding Officer in Yonkers.
The purpose of their visit is to attend the National Night Out celebration. The delegation’s objective is to learn and gather information about the process of implementing National Night Out in the Dominican Republic, as well as to maintain a collaborative relationship with the city of Yonkers for its implementation.
