It’s official: Santa Claus is in Yonkers, so be on the lookout. Santa made one of his first appearances of the Season at the Operation Santa Claus event held every year to raise funds and assist assist developmentally disabled children and adults.
Former State Senator Nick Spano has been the Honorary Chair of Operation Santa Claus and is the driving force behind this wonderful event, held this year at Castle Royale on Dec. 4. What is always great about this event is that everyone leaves their politics home and is there to support a good cause.
“Operation Santa Claus is a Yonkers tradition that began more than sixty years ago. The money raised from the generosity of our residents and businesses show their vested interest in building our community and commitment to our city,” said Spano.
