One of the most popular NY Mets this season is shortstop Jose Iglesias, who on August 12th, went to Playland to meet fans and to sing his hit song ‘OMG.
Iglesias showed up a few hours early to meet and greet Met fans, pictured above.
The lyrics for OMG inspire a positive message about overcoming tough times. The song, and the fact that Jose is on a hitting tear on the ballfied, is a perfect combination for Mets fans.
Iglesias, whose recording name is Candelita had his song debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin songs.
Iglesias, 34, is Cuban-American, and also has been signing the song at Citi Field in Queens, for Mets home games.
