State Supreme Court Judge Thomas Marcelle
By Dan Murphy
The New York Law Journal’s coverage of Westchester County Conservative Party Chair Hugh Fox’s endorsement of democratic candidates for local office and for state supreme court has added credibility to our coverage of the Judicial Convention held by the Conservative Party’s in the 9th Judicial District.
The NYLJ story, https://www.law.com/newyorklawjournal/2023/09/15/chair-of-judicial-nominating-convention-submitted-fraudulent-minutes-albany-judge-says/
pulls many of the same parts of Albany State Supreme Court Judge Thomas Marcelle’s ruling. Marcelle, blasted Fox and the fraudulent way that Fox and other Conservative party members testified in his courtroom about the way in which votes were counted and whether there was or was not ever a vote taken to appoint a committee to fill vacancies.
“A judge determined that the chairman for the Conservative Party’s Ninth Judicial District nominating convention had “unclean hands” when submitting “fraudulent” minutes from the Aug. 13 convention,” writes NYLJ reporter Brian Lee.
One email we obtained informing us of the NYLJ story said, “Why would they want a line obtained by fraud and deception anyway. Aren’t these four judges supposed to stand for integrity and accountability and be above reproach. It’s rotten to the core.”
While Hugh Fox is getting a little hot under the collar about all of our coverage, what about the New York Law Journal, and Judge Marcelle’s ruling?
