New York Working Families Party Endorses William Wagstaff for Westchester DA

William Wagstaff

The New York Working Families Party today announced its endorsement of William Wagstaff for Westchester District Attorney. If elected, Wagstaff would be the first Black District Attorney in Westchester County’s history.

William was born and raised in Westchester County and holds degrees from Pace Law School and Fordham University. His legal work has focused on civil rights litigation, criminal defense, and municipal law. His cases have been covered in the New York Law Journal and The New York Times and on CNN, MSNBC, and ABC, among other media outlets.

“We’re proud to endorse William Wagstaff for Westchester District Attorney. William is a seasoned and experienced attorney who knows that a good District Attorney implements justice with compassion,” said Jasmine Gripper, Co-Director of the New York Working Families Party. “We can trust William to ensure that the law is applied equally, and that those who come into contact with the legal system are treated with fairness and dignity.”

“I am grateful to the Working Families Party for endorsing my campaign for Westchester County District Attorney,” said William Wagstaff, Democratic candidate for District Attorney in Westchester County. “The WFP has a long history of advocating for policies that advance and protect the civil rights for working Americans, not just the wealthy, and I’m proud to support that shared mission by delivering a fairer, stronger and more equitable justice system as Westchester DA. I thank WFP for supporting me as we strive to build an equitable landscape upon which generational change can be built.”
