New Rochelle Police Arrest Three for $6359 in Stolen Property


On Friday August 2nd, at about 4:12pm, New Rochelle Police were alerted by the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center that a vehicle linked to a theft of a purse out of Greenburgh was in New Rochelle near Home Depot. New Rochelle Police located the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the Hope Depot parking lot and set up surveillance on the car.

Greenburgh PD Detectives were notified and began to respond to New Rochelle to continue their investigation. Before Greenburgh PD Detectives arrived, three people returned to the suspect vehicle and started to drive away. New Rochelle Officers stopped the vehicle and quickly determined that all three occupants had extraditable warrants out of Delaware and had just made a fraudulent purchase out of the New Rochelle Home Depot.

Additionally, Officers observed that there were four PlayStation 5 consoles, two Nintendo Switch gaming devices and other bagged items in plain sight in the vehicle. New Rochelle Detectives quickly found out that these suspects allegedly made another fraudulent purchase at GameStop in New Rochelle before coming to Home Depot. The suspects had a total of $6359.68 of alleged stolen property in their possession. The three suspects were placed into custody without incident by New Rochelle Police for local charges as well as the extraditable warrants out of Delaware.

Arrested were
Luis Arellano-Corrales, 31years of age, of Paterson, NJ. Monica Cuba-Medina, 38 years of age, of Paterson, NJ. Marco Rodriguez-Perez, 58 years of age, of Paterson, NJ.

The three were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (2 counts) – E Felony, Grand Larceny 4th Degree – E Felony, and Fugitive from Justice – Felony Out of State
