The New Rochelle Public Library is presenting a series of summer concerts -“Saturday Summer Sings”- for children and families. The series kicks off on Saturday, July 20 at 11:00 am in the Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle. The concerts are intended for children ages 2 and up and their families, and will feature three well-known family entertainers on select Saturdays.

“We’re thrilled to announce the return of our “Saturday Summer Sings” concert series,” said Robert Simic, Head of Children’s Services at New Rochelle Public Library. “After last year’s overwhelming success, we made sure to bring these performances back to our community this summer. The concerts will be held in the comfort of our air-conditioned Ossie Davis Theater, offering families a perfect weekend activity that complements our extensive weekday children’s programming. “

The first concert in the series takes place on Saturday, July 20 at 11:00 am, featuring Music Pepper Pot with Conroy Warren. This interactive program promises an hour of non-stop fun and movement with a wide range of music styles, including contemporary and cultural reggae, calypso, meringue, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues.

Close out the summer on Saturday, August 17, 11:00 am with a special performance from Turtle Dance Music with Mr. Matt in an autism-friendly show filled with music, comedy, dance and adventure.

This series is made possible through the support of The Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library. All concerts are free and open to the public.
