New Rochelle Police Department Detectives have arrested Ryan Mack, 33, of West Nyack, New York, in connection with an investigation of an unlawful surveillance that occurred on or about July 5, 2026, at the New York Athletic Club (NYAC).
On the evening of July 5, 2026, the New York Athletic Club (NYAC) contacted the New Rochelle Police Department after they discovered a recording device that had been concealed inside a bathroom at the club.
A subsequent investigation, conducted by Detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department, in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office High Tech Unit, determined that Mack had hidden the recording device in the Tennis Hut West Restroom and positioned it to capture unsuspecting individuals while they were using the toilet. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Mack, an employee of the NYAC.
After the discovery of the device, Mack went to Kansas where, in mid-July, he was stopped and arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol just outside of Topeka, Kansas. On August 12, 2026, members of the Westchester County Police Department Warrant Fugitive Unit transported Mack back to Westchester County, where he was formally charged and arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on August 13, 2026.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified several victims, including children. Investigators are continuing to seek additional potential victims and asking any NYAC members who may have used the identified restrooms on the dates and during the times listed below to contact Detective Marisa Bird at (914) 654-2367.
The New Rochelle Police Department encourages anyone who believes they may have been recorded, has information relevant to this investigation or who may have used the locations listed below, between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on any of the listed dates, are asked to contact Detective Marisa Bird at (914) 654-2367.
