Look for -Stand Up to Jewish Hate Super Bowl Ad

Patriots Owner Kraft Pays $7 Million for ad with MLK Jr. Speech Writer Dr. Clarence Jones

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, is paying for a $7 Million Super Bowl ad that will run as part of the ‘Stand Up to Jewish Hate’ campaign. The yet to be released as will be narrated by Dr. Clarence Jones, who helped write Dr. MLK Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.”

The ad will call on Americans to stand up against antisemitism, and stand with Jews and the hostility on display in many communities.

For last year’s Super Bowl, The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism ran an Ad that will run again during this year’s Super Bowl Pre-Game show. That ad, https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1456396368332055 provides a powerful example of how everyday Americans can make a difference in standing up against hate.

Dr. Clarence B. Jones, 93, was moved to tears when Kraft called him to tell him that his ad will run during the Super Bowl. Last year more than 115 viewers watched the Super Bowl, and the TV Super Bowl commercials have become a big part of the game.

Kraft helped found and fund The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism because America is “starting to look like Germany in the 1930s to me. … And I want to prevent us from getting to the 1940s.”

None of this should be happening in the United States of America. With this ad, we hope to continue to spread Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of unity and equality at a time in which the country needs it most and our goal is to reach a wide audience of people and inspire all Americans to stand up together, arm in arm, and fight this horrific rising hate,” said Kraft.

The mission of FCAS is to encourage Americans to stand up to all forms of hate, based on religion, race, gender or background.
