Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano watched the Emmy Awards on September 12 and celebrated three Emmy wins for two shows that shot scenes locally.
The two productions that won awards were:
- Severance: Two Emmys for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series and Outstanding Main Title Design.
- The Gilded Age: One Emmy for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program.
The Gilded Age is a historical drama that occurs during the 1880s in New York. Some scenes for the show were shot at the Hudson River Museum’s historic Glenview Mansion. The 1877 Gilded Age home was built by John Bond Trevor, a successful stockbroker of that era.
Mayor Spano watched the Emmy Awards on Monday night at Yonkers Brewing in Yonkers.
