Move Over, Rockefeller Center, Grand Holiday Illumination Free at Untermyer Gardens Conservancy With Music of All Religions

The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy is pleased to announce that the opening ceremony of its seventh annual Grand Holiday Illumination will take place on December 9 at 5:30 PM. Doors open at 5:15PM in the Walled Garden at Untermyer Park and Gardens. The Walled Garden’s architecture and plantings will be dramatically illuminated with more than 100,000 lights after a countdown led by Mayor Mike Spano. Following the opening ceremony, hot chocolate will be served while beautiful recorded music from many traditions will be played.

This gift to the community from the Conservancy will continue daily through January 1. This is the only holiday illumination in the metro New York area that is free to the public. Every day from 4:30-8:00 PM, the Walled Garden will be open for visitors to stroll, admire the lights and listen to peaceful recorded JEWISH, CHRISTIAN, MUSLIM, HINDU AND ZOROASTRIAN music. Free hot chocolate will be served by various community groups. If your community group would like to participate, visit our website for more information https://www.untermyergardens.org/2021-grand-holiday-illumination.html.

The gardens are located at 945 North Broadway, Yonkers, NY.
