Mount Sinai Doctors has opened a new location in Yonkers, New York, with services that include primary care, cardiology, neurology, and gastroenterology. The new, state-of-the-art facility is 6,000 square feet and located on the ground floor of the historic Boyce Thompson Center at 1086 North Broadway.
The Mount Sinai Doctors-Yonkers office will offer patients onsite cardiology tests such as cardiac stress tests and echocardiograms, and neurological tests that include electromyography (EMG), a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them; electroencephalogram (EEG), a test used to evaluate the electrical activity in the brain; and NeuroTrax BrainCare, a cloud-based computer application for brain wellness which includes a series of tests and associated reports for clinicians to monitor brain fitness, as well as data-driven recommendations for brain training.
Mount Sinai Doctors-Yonkers is the third Mount Sinai Doctors practice to open in Westchester County and represents the consolidation of the former office located at 1010 North Broadway, Yonkers. Other practices in Westchester are Mount Sinai Doctors-Scarsdale, at 341 Central Park Avenue, and Mount Sinai Doctors-Pelham, at 116 Fifth Avenue.
“We are extremely excited to have launched all three Mount Sinai Doctors practices in the Westchester communities and to be providing individuals and families living in these neighborhoods with excellent access to the same high-quality multi-specialty ambulatory services for which Mount Sinai is nationally and internationally recognized as an academic medical system and leading medical school,” says Arthur A. Klein, MD, President of the Mount Sinai Health Network.
Services offered at Mount Sinai Doctors-Yonkers also include preventive care and general medical exams, vaccinations, immunizations, sonograms, and yearly physicals. Patients can also expect same-day appointments, extended hours, easy scheduling, ample parking, a highly skilled team of physicians and nurses, and a friendly, welcoming waiting area.
Dr. Klein explained that while Mount Sinai “always had a long standing group of physicians in Westchester, the new offices and locations in Pelham, Scarsdale and now Yonkers, give our patients a more convenient, world class facility. We can now give them the total medical experience that they want and deserve. We are delighted to expand into Westchester, and our proud of the Mount Sinai name and the care that comes with it.
Dr. Klein said that Mount Sinai Doctors “will continue to grow in Westchester,” and that the new office locations provides “more space for growth in cancer treatment and ambulatory surgery. Our overall strategy is to continue to grow where our patients reside. That is the future of health care delivery. COVID has underscored that, but we also recognize the convenience and high quality service we can provide in an ambulatory setting.”
